Methodology

Many times when there should be a church split there is not, and when there shouldn’t be one there is…

Often the church divides over issues that are not reasons to divide over at all. Other parts of the church have a false unity that is soulish and not spiritual. The Lord Jesus is dealing with both of these issues. I believe all the unnecessary division in churches and denominations gives way for the last days’ offense and betrayal that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24. If Jesus is truly our True Vine and we are his branches there is no room for division or a false unity that is rooted in the soul of man, (similar to the building of the tower of Babel). A false unity rooted in the soul will always lead to confusion and division. Division is the fruit of confusion; confusion means there is a breakdown in true and clear communications. This too is seen in Genesis 11. One of the most powerful things believers can do is fully unite themselves with Jesus, his word and one another. In this there is a commanded blessing that is rooted in the very pleasure of God. I believe Jesus still desires his prayer in John 17 to be answered. His prayer will be answered but we must participate.

Without the real authentic gospel there is no real or authentic conversion or church. Remember friends it is the preaching of the Kingdom that gives birth to the church. Let us return to the Gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus preached. Let us return to the Gospel of Jesus Christ that Paul preached that did not come with persuasive words but with demonstrations of the spirit and power. In that our faith is rooted in the power of God and not in the wisdom of men. Jesus preached the Gospel with two primary methods, proclamation and demonstration or demonstration and explanation. The Apostles followed Jesus’ teaching and lifestyle and demonstrated this same reality in the book of Acts. Here we see the same message communicated in a different method. Luke 10:9 KJV “And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. This is demonstration and then proclamation. This method is very effective or else Jesus who is the wisdom of God would not have sent them out to minister in this way. Although, even if we were to go back in time a little when Jesus was sending the 12 out Jesus’ method was different, but he wasn’t divided on confused. Luke 9:1-2 KJV “Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” This method would be proclamation and demonstration. Here Jesus is using a different method with the same with the same message and the same signs accompanying the message. When preaching the authentic Gospel, both of these ingredients are completely necessary if we are going to obey Jesus. Our obedience to Christ will determine other people’s revelation of him. Obedience is a big deal. Many people from the place of a pure heart live with an un-renewed mind. When our mind is renewed we can be a part of the new things that God desires to do in our day without departing from the faith or the ancient and unchanging truths of scripture.
